Statewide Resources:
State HIV/AIDS Program (HAP):
The HIV/AIDS Program (HAP) is a collaborative effort between Louisiana State University Medical Center and Louisiana's Office of Public Health. The HAP Program consists of three components, prevention, services and surveillance. The Prevention Program consists of the following activities: community planning, competitive grants to community based organizations to conduct prevention activities, HIV prevention counseling and testing, education material distribution, training and technical assistance and a statewide hotline.

State HIV/AIDS Hotline: (Counseling)
The statewide HIV/STD hotline provides local community referrals statewide for HIV counseling and testing services, condom distribution sites and support and primary medical care services available to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. In addition, hotline staff can provide general information regarding HIV/AIDS and other STDs, can respond to questions regarding HIV/STD risks and can provide risk reduction counseling.
