What is AIDSLaw of Louisiana?

Pro Bono Publico Awards

AIDSLaw of Louisiana, Inc. is a Louisiana not-for-profit corporation formed in 1989 by a small group of

New Orleans attorneys and legal professionals who recognized that their individual efforts were not sufficient to meet the legal needs of the rapidly growing number of indigent clients with HIV infection and AIDS.

While more than 30 New Orleans AIDS service organizations and 30 other organizations across Louisiana provide direct services to citizens affected by HIV disease, AIDSLaw is the only organization in the state exclusively dedicated to addressing the legal needs of that population.
AIDSLaw of Louisiana, Inc. is a not-for-profit public interest organization providing legal services and referrals without charge to persons affected by HIV disease.

AIDSLaw of Louisiana is supported in part by grants from the Louisiana Bar Foundation's Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program, Title II of the Ryan White Act, and the generous contributions of caring institutions and individuals.
